I can't post the LinkedIn A & B cases but they can be purchased at HBR. However here is the data that they cited in the case regarding the user percentages:

http://blog.compete.com/2007/11/12/connecting-the-social-graph-member-overlap-at-opensocial-and-facebook/

If you want to purchase the full case here are the links:
LinkedIn A = http://harvardbusiness.org/product/linkedin-a/an/707406-PDF-ENG
LinkedIn B = http://harvardbusiness.org/product/linkedin-b/an/707407-PDF-ENG

There might be a lot of "open" Facebook pages. Seems like every now and then you see somehting in the news about someone getting a lot of information. Just recently the incoming head of MI6 was accidentally exposed by his wife on Facebook:

Top British Spy Exposed on Facebook

Specific details revealed, according to the BBC, included the location of the London flat where Sawers lives with his wife, plus the location of their children and John’s parents. The page’s privacy settings were not turned on, meaning that anyone in Facebook’s London network had access.

Interesting. I wonder how many linkedin users have their connections exposed publicly.
Also, can you provide a link to the HBR study about % of myspace & facebook users also using LinkedIn? I didn't imagine the intersection could be that small.
